A good time to schedule a consultation or start the conversation would be 6-9 months prior to the wedding. This will give you time to learn about your floral options and begin designing the look and style you want for your wedding.
For popular dates in May-June, September-October and holiday weekends, we strongly encourage couples to reach out as soon as possible. During those popular months, we will book out so don’t risk losing your date. We only take on two weddings per date.
First, don’t over think. We are here to help you bring your vision to life so don’t fret over a million different floral details. Second, before your consultation take a little time to think about: budget for flowers, wedding colors, preferred flowers (what you like or don’t like), number of people in the wedding party, number of guests (number of tables), and how guests will be seated (round or long tables).
We also highly encourage couples to start a Pinterest board to gather ideas and styles that they love, and would like to incorporate into their wedding. You can even start by saving pins from the beautiful weddings we have done, and share them with us during your consultation.
Many factors go into delivering and setting up wedding and event flowers including multiple location drops, late night pick ups, dealing with restrictive venue loading docks, and labor intensive floral installations.
Typically our delivery and set up fee is around 15% of your total floral bill. However, that can change based upon tighter venue delivery/pickup restrictions, after midnight pickups, holiday weekends, and large installations requiring extra labor. We are always transparent in our pricing and delivery/labor fees so you’ll always know what to expect.
Yes, we would love to do a mock up centerpiece design for you so that you can really see what your florals will look like. We recommend that you do this on a day where you might also be selecting your table linens and decor so that you can get the full look. We do charge for the mock up and can even deliver it to your planner or decor company for your design appointment.
